| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, presented frontally with three-quarter perspective, draped over the right shoulder. The emperor's youthful effigy is rendered with characteristic provincial style, the laureate wreath clearly articulated above the brow. The surrounding circular legend in Greek runs along the beaded border of the flan. |
