| Reverse description | Homonoia type depicting two standing civic deities in confrontation: Tyche-Tylos of Sardis standing right, holding the cult image of Kore of Sardis and a long sceptre, facing Androkles, the legendary founder of Ephesus, standing left and holding the cult image of Artemis Ephesia and a sceptre. The composition symbolises the formal concord (homonoia) established between the cities of Sardis and Ephesus. The reverse legend is divided in the field around the two figures. |
