| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two winged Nikai (Victory figures) stand facing one another in mirror composition, jointly suspending a large inscribed wreath between them. Beneath the wreath, a ceremonial vase or agon vessel is depicted holding two upright palm branches, symbols of athletic victory. The scene alludes to the Olympian games celebrated at Pergamum as a three-time neocorate city. A multi-line Greek legend divided across the field and exergue records the civic and religious titles of the issuing city. |
