Each altar and its basket assembly is supported by three male figures grasping and managing the carrying bars. Additionally, two male figures stand upon the bars, each holding a torch aloft. The composition is a rare and monumental representation of sacred ritual furniture, likely connected to the neokorate cult practices at Cyzicus. |
