Reverse description Dionysus reclines to the left in a biga drawn by two Centaurs; one Centaur carries an amphora and the other a tympanum (hand drum), emblematic of the god's Bacchic retinue. The composition is rendered in a dynamic provincial style typical of Lydian civic bronzes of the Severan and Gordian periods. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, identifies the local magistrate and civic authority responsible for the issue.
