| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing figure of Concordia facing, rendered in schematic late antique style, holding standard and other attribute, consistent with the CONCORDIA AVG type struck at Heraclea under Theodosius II. The legend CONCO-RDIA AVG is distributed around the central figure, with the mint mark SMHA in the exergue identifying the Heraclea mint, first officina. The reverse design, though heavily worn and partially obscured by patination, retains the recognisable standing personification typical of this emission. The overall workmanship reflects the declining engraving standards of Æ4 coinage in the second quarter of the fifth century. |
