| 正面描述 | Confronted draped and cuirassed busts of Caracalla, laureate, and Geta, bare-headed, facing one another across the field in the vis-à-vis arrangement characteristic of Severan provincial coinage. The partial obverse legend, reading --- ΠΟ ϹΕΠ ΓΕΤΑϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ, identifies Geta with his Caesarial title, while the complementary reference to Caracalla would have appeared in the now-lost portion of the legend. The treatment of the busts, with drapery and armor rendered in low relief, is typical of the Carian civic mint tradition of the early third century AD. |
