| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus Laodiceus standing left at centre, holding an eagle in his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left; to his right stands the personification of Phrygia facing right, clad in chiton and himation, holding ears of grain and a sceptre; to his left stands the personification of Caria facing left, similarly draped, holding a branch and a cornucopia. The composition celebrates Laodicea's dual provincial position at the border of Phrygia and Caria, and its status as a neokorate city. The Greek legend is distributed around the reverse field. |
