| 背面描述 | The Phrygian lunar deity Mên stands to the left atop a car drawn by two galloping bulls, wearing his characteristic Phrygian cap with a crescent behind his shoulders. In his extended right hand he holds a pine cone, while his left hand rests upon a long spear. The dynamic composition of the bull-drawn vehicle conveys divine momentum and is a hallmark of Mên's iconography in the civic coinage of inland Lydia and Phrygia. The reverse legend, distributed across the field, names the presiding magistrate Kleoboulos as first archon and dedicates the issue to the citizens of Temenothyrae. |
