| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Severus Alexander facing right, rendered three-quarter from the rear in the characteristic provincial style. The effigy displays the imperial paludamentum over the cuirass, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated despite the coin's heavy wear and irregular flan. The circumferential Greek legend encircles the bust, partially legible due to a significant flan chip on the right side. The flan exhibits pronounced irregularity consistent with provincial hammered bronze coinage of the Severan period. |

| Reverse description | Aphrodite rendered in kneeling pose facing right, her figure occupying the central field of the coin. The goddess is depicted holding what appears to be a mirror before her, an attribute closely associated with her iconography in provincial coinage of Pontus. The figural type is executed in the typical provincial relief style, with drapery folds suggested in the lower portion of the composition. The surrounding Greek legend naming the free city of Amisus and the regnal year ϹΝΓ (253 of the Pontic era, corresponding to 221–222 CE) runs around the periphery, partially lost to the flan irregularity. Surface patination is a consistent dark olive-brown with areas of reddish bronze visible. |
