| Obverse description | Confronted busts of Caracalla, laureate, draped, and cuirassed, facing right on the left side of the field, and Geta, also laureate, draped, and cuirassed, facing left on the right side of the field, their effigies posed vis-à-vis in the characteristic Severan dynastic presentation. A circular Greek legend surrounds the composition in the border of the flan. The portraiture reflects the official court style of the early Severan period, with careful attention to imperial regalia and military dress. |
