| Beschrijving keerzijde | The eponymous heroes Dorylaos and Akamas stand facing one another in a sacrificial scene, each holding a long spear or sceptre in one hand and tipping a patera over a lighted altar positioned between them. Above the two figures, an eagle is displayed with wings spread wide, a symbol of imperial authority and divine favour. The composition is framed by the magistrate's legend distributed across the field and periphery, recording the second archonship of Attikos over the city of Dorylaeum. |
