Reverse description Nude Heracles standing to the right, the Nemean lion's skin draped over his extended left arm, his right hand grasping a club while he seizes the mane of a lion seated to the right with its fore-paw raised. Heracles plants his left knee forcefully upon the lion's back in a dynamic wrestling composition, evoking the First Labour of Heracles. The scene is rendered in the vigorous provincial style characteristic of Lydian civic bronzes of the Severan and post-Severan periods. The reverse legend in two parts identifies the issuing city and the presiding magistrate.
