Obverse description Confronted busts: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, seen from the rear, facing a laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Geta to left. The two imperial effigies are depicted facing one another in the characteristic 'vis-à-vis' arrangement common to provincial bronzes of the Severan period. The surrounding legend identifies both rulers. The style is consistent with the civic coinage of Stratonicea in Caria.
