| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, portrayed from the rear, displaying the elaborate pteryges of the cuirass and folds of the paludamentum. The emperor's youthful effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Carian civic coinage, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The surrounding Greek legend is partially visible along the upper border of the flan. |
