Beschrijving voorzijde	Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is boldly struck at centre, occupying the full height of the flan. A continuous Greek legend surrounds the portrait along the periphery of the coin.

Beschrijving keerzijde	The goddess Cybele, the Magna Mater, is depicted enthroned and seated to the left, clad in a long chiton and himation. She holds a long sceptre in her right hand and rests her left arm upon a tympanum. Beneath her throne, a recumbent lion is shown in the field, serving as her sacred attribute. The ethnic legend of the issuing city encircles the reverse type along the outer border.
