| Reverse description | Zeus Capitolinus enthroned left on an ornate throne, his seminude figure draped from the waist, holding a long sceptre vertically in his left hand and an eagle or Nike in his extended right hand. A large eagle stands at his feet to the left, its head turned right, serving as the divine attribute of the god. The Greek legend ΖΕΥΣ ΚΑΠΕΤΩΛΙΟΣ appears in the field, with the regnal year ΙΔ (year 14) indicated by the L-date formula. The coin bears two pierced holes consistent with the obverse. |
