Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, laureate, facing right, depicted from the rear in a three-quarter view with paludamentum over cuirass. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Ephesian civic coinage. The surrounding legend in Greek characters identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature.
