The elephant quadriga is a prestigious reversal type evoking triumphal iconography and divine honors, closely associated with deified emperors and major imperial celebrations in Alexandrian coinage. The regnal year date appears in the field. The flan is irregular and the reverse shows significant wear consistent with circulation. |
