| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, wearing an aegis over the cuirass, with finely rendered curling hair and beard characteristic of Hadrianic portraiture. The effigy is depicted in high relief with considerable detail in the treatment of the armor and facial features. A circular border of dots frames the design. The Greek legend is disposed around the periphery of the field, reading ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΟϹ. |
