Reverse description Tyche, the personification of fortune and civic prosperity, is depicted seated to the left on a throne, rendered in draped attire. In her right hand she holds a long rudder resting upon a human head — a distinctive iconographic element signifying dominion over fate — while her left arm cradles a cornucopia (horn of plenty) overflowing with fruits. The Greek legend encircling the type records the city name, its status as a free city, and the regnal year ϹΟΒ (year 202 of the local Amisene era, corresponding to 241 AD).
