| Obverse description | Veiled and draped bust of the Gerousia personified, facing right, with hair rendered in soft waves beneath a veil that falls behind the shoulder, clothed in a chiton and himation with finely engraved drapery folds. The bust is rendered in a high-relief provincial style characteristic of Phrygian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The circular legend in Greek surrounds the effigy, divided between the left and right fields. The coin is framed by a dotted border. |
