Obverse description Draped bust of the personified Senate (ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ) depicted as a youthful male figure, facing left, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Phrygian civic coinage under Antoninus Pius. The encircling legend ΙΕΡΑ ϹΥΝΚΛΗΤΟϹ ('Holy Senate') runs in the field around the bust, identifying this rare personification. The coin is heavily patinated and surfaces are significantly worn, obscuring finer details of the drapery folds and facial features.
