| Obverse description | Draped and veiled bust of the Boule (personification of the city council) facing right, wearing a stephane crown. The veil falls in richly rendered folds behind the neck, conveying the solemn civic dignity of the personified institution. The legend ΒΟΥΛΗ ΛΑΟΔΙΚΕΩΝ is inscribed around the bust in Greek characters, identifying the issuing authority. The portrait is rendered in a competent provincial style consistent with Antonine-era civic coinage of Phrygia. |
