(Translation: Emperor Trajan Augustus Germanicus Dacicus)
Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, drives a biga (two-horse chariot) to the right, her figure rendered in dynamic motion characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. She holds a victor's wreath in her outstretched hand and a palm branch, emblems of triumph, in keeping with Trajanic victory iconography celebrating the Dacian campaigns. The two horses are depicted in full gallop, with expressive heads and detailed harness work visible despite the worn surfaces. The regnal year legend L ΙΒ (year 12) appears in the upper field, serving as the principal dating device for this Alexandrian issue.
