| Obverse description | Confronted busts: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus to right, seen from the rear, facing the draped bust of Julia Domna to left. The two imperial effigies are rendered in the characteristic provincial confronted-bust format, with the emperor's cuirass visible from behind and the empress presented in draped attire.
