Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic three-quarter view typical of Severan-era provincial coinage. The emperor's paludamentum and segmented cuirass are rendered in detail, conveying imperial military authority. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his titles, reading partially around the full circumference of the flan. A post-antique piercing is visible at the right edge of the coin.
