Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted three-quarter from the rear, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible beneath the cuirass. The effigy displays the characteristically youthful features associated with Caracalla's early portraiture. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust in the field, reading ΑΥΤΟΚ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ. The flan is broad and irregular, consistent with provincial hammered bronze coinage of the Severan period.
