| Reverse description | Zeus Panamaros, the principal deity of Stratonicea, depicted on horseback advancing to the right, holding a long sceptre in his raised hand. To the right of the horse stands an altar, a common attribute in the iconography of this local cult. The composition reflects the distinctive Stratonikeian reverence for Zeus Panamaros, whose mounted image appears frequently on civic bronzes of the imperial period. The Greek legend naming the magistrate and the city encircles the design. |
