| Reverse description | Tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its entablature and pediment rendered in careful perspective; within the intercolumniation stands the cult statue of Hera of Samos, facing, crowned with a kalathos about which a serpent is coiled. Two peacocks, sacred to the goddess, flank her on either side, while architectural supports frame the composition. The reverse legend appears in the exergual and field areas, identifying the issuing civic authority. |
