Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Lucius Verus, draped and cuirassed, facing right and seen from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic full beard of Lucius Verus, rendered in the provincial style typical of Phrygian civic coinage. The legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying the emperor as Caesar.
