Reverse description Three warriors standing facing, each equipped with a long spear held upright in the right hand and a large round shield resting on the ground at their side. The central figure appears slightly more prominent, possibly helmeted, flanked symmetrically by the two outer figures in a formal, static composition typical of civic and military iconography on Ionian provincial bronzes. The field is plain and the figures occupy the full height of the die. The encircling and exergual Greek legends reference the civic magistrate Aurelius Bassus serving as strategos for the second time on behalf of the Metropolitans.
