Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, portrayed with characteristic curly hair and short beard, seen from the rear in the three-quarter perspective typical of later Severan provincial coinage. The imperial effigy displays paludamentum folds over the left shoulder and pteryges at the base of the cuirass, rendered with considerable detail. A beaded border frames the field, with the Greek imperial titulature legend running around the periphery.
