Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, the emperor portrayed with characteristic short beard and naturalistic hair rendered in the Antonine style. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters around the periphery of the flan. The portrait is executed in high relief typical of provincial civic bronze coinage of the Lydian conventus, with the truncation of the bust visible at the lower field.
