| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of the Demos of Laodicea, bearded, facing right, rendered in the naturalistic style characteristic of Antonine-era provincial coinage. The hair is rendered in thick, curling locks with fine engraving detail, and a diadem is visible across the brow. Traces of drapery are present at the truncation of the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads ΔΗΜΟϹ ΛΑΟΔΙΚΕΩΝ, distributed across the field around the bust, with beaded border visible along the coin's edge. |
