Flanking the deity are two bases or pedestals adorned with garlands, each surmounted by a standing ram. The composition references the nome deity of the Xoite nome in Lower Egypt, rendered in the syncretic Greco-Egyptian artistic tradition typical of Alexandrian provincial bronzes. The reverse legend identifies the nome and the regnal year in Greek characters distributed around the field. |
