| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the lorica segmentata clearly articulated beneath. The portrait displays the characteristic strong Trajanic features with a prominent nose and firm jaw. A dotted border (grenetis) encircles the field. The Greek legend runs around the periphery in a continuous arc. |
