| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, viewed from the rear, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with bold, somewhat schematic modelling. The laureate wreath is rendered with prominent leaf detail atop the emperor's head. The cuirass and drapery are indicated across the left shoulder and chest. The surrounding Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, partially visible on the irregular edge. |
