| Obverse description | Laureate bust of the Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic provincial style of the Alexandrian mint. The imperial effigy is boldly modelled in high relief, with the laureate wreath clearly delineated around the head. The Greek legend is distributed across the obverse field flanking the bust. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad, typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period. |
