| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the robust Roman imperial portrait style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The Greek legend encircles the effigy, running along the coin's periphery. The portrait exhibits the strong, idealised features typical of Trajanic numismatic art, with the laurel wreath clearly indicated despite moderate wear. The flan shows the irregular striking characteristic of hammered Alexandrian bronze issues of this period. |
