Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, draped and cuirassed, the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder with the bust rendered from a rear perspective. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic portraiture with a laurel wreath crowning the head. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust, reading from the upper left around the periphery of the flan. The style is consistent with the Alexandrian mint's provincial coinage of the early second century AD, with bold, high-relief portraiture typical of the Trajanic period.
