Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, standing erect in a biga drawn by two horses galloping to the right, her figure rendered in dynamic motion. She extends her right arm forward holding a wreath, and carries a palm branch in her left hand, both attributes emblematic of victory and imperial triumph. The composition fills the broad flan, with the chariot platform visible at the base of the design. The regnal year legend appears in the field. The type celebrates Trajan's military victories, most notably the Dacian campaigns.
