Beschrijving voorzijde Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Severus Alexander facing right, seen from the rear, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The obverse legend, inscribed in Greek, surrounds the imperial effigy and identifies the emperor by his full titulature. The portrait displays the customary military attire befitting the emperor's rank, with the paludamentum draped over the cuirass. The overall execution is consistent with the die-cutting tradition of the Alexandrian mint during the Severan period.

Opschrift voorzijde Α ΚΑΙ ΜΑΡ ΑΥΡ ϹΕΥ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟϹ ΕΥ(Ϲ)(Ε)
(Translation: Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius Severus Alexander Pious)
Beschrijving keerzijde Elpis, the personification of Hope, standing left in flowing chiton, raising the hem of her garment with her right hand in the characteristic pose, and holding an open flower in her left hand. A palm branch is placed in the field before her, serving as an additional symbol of hope and victory. The regnal date appears in the left field as the Greek numeral L Ι, denoting year 10 of Severus Alexander's reign. The reverse composition is typical of Alexandrian civic bronze coinage of the period, combining a divine personification with calendrical notation.
