| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with characteristic curled beard rendered in the Severan style. The effigy displays a radiate wreath of laurel leaves atop the emperor's head, with the portrait showing strong, individualized facial features typical of Severan provincial coinage. The legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, presenting the emperor's full imperial titulature in Greek. The die work reflects the competent but provincial engraving style characteristic of the Cibyra conventus in the late 2nd to early 3rd century AD. |
