| Reverse description | A helmeted hero on horseback advancing to the right, depicted in the heroic equestrian manner typical of provincial Anatolian coinage. The rider brandishes a spear in his raised right hand. Beneath the horse, a dog moves to the right, holding what appears to be an uncertain object, possibly a bone, in its mouth. The scene is rendered in the bold, schematic style characteristic of the Pergamene conventus. The Greek legend distributed around the field records the name and title of the local magistrate responsible for the issue. |
