Reverse description Zeus depicted standing facing, his gaze turned to the left, rendered in the classical civic style typical of Carian provincial bronzes. In his extended right hand he holds a patera, while his left hand grasps a long upright sceptre. At his feet to the left stands an eagle with its head turned back, serving as the god's traditional attribute. The magistrate's name and civic ethnic are inscribed in Greek around the field, identifying the issuing authority of Ceramus.
