| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and pteryges of the cuirass rendered in detail at the lower truncation. The imperial portrait is executed in the vigorous provincial style characteristic of Carian civic bronzes. A circular perforation is present in the lower field, indicating post-antique suspension or reuse. The Greek legend encircles the effigy along the border. |
