Obverse description Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I (the Arab) facing right, depicted from the rear, with the emperor's characteristic short beard and prominent facial features rendered in the provincial style. The effigy displays the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and segmented cuirass articulated in detail. The Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan.

Reverse description Apollo Klarios, the tutelary deity of the renowned oracle at Claros near Colophon, depicted seated to the left upon a throne or rock. The god holds a laurel branch in his extended right hand and a lyre in his left, referencing his role as patron of music and prophecy. The composition is rendered in the typical provincial workshop style of the Ionian conventus, with the peripheral Greek legend distributed around the field and the ethnic of the issuing city placed in the lower exergual area.
