Reverse description Hygieia stands at right, extending a patera to feed a serpent coiling up toward her hand, facing Asclepius standing at left, leaning on his serpent-entwined staff. Between the two deities stands the diminutive figure of Telesphorus, the hooded healing deity closely associated with Asclepius. The composition is a well-known triad in Phrygian and Lydian provincial coinage, reflecting the importance of healing cults in the region. The reverse legend, distributed around the field and exergue, names the local magistrate responsible for the issue.
