正面描述	Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, portrayed from the rear with paludamentum and cuirass visible. The imperial effigy occupies the central field, rendered in the robust provincial style typical of the Ionian mint at Samos. The encircling Greek legend reads in the field around the portrait. A perforation hole is noted at the lower rim, indicating later use as a pendant.

The figure is rendered in the classical Hellenistic style characteristic of Samian civic coinage of the mid-3rd century AD. The ethnic legend ϹΑΜΙΩΝ appears in the field to the right of the deity. A perforation hole is visible at the upper rim.
